If you want the easiest way to keep your Goal Zero battery charged, the Yeti Link is the solution for you. With your Goal Zero battery wired directly to your van’s alternator, the battery will charge anytime your van is running. It does not pull any power from your van while the vehicle is off, so there is no risk of draining your vehicle battery.
Our experience with the Yeti Link is that it will fully charge a Goal Zero Yeti 1500x battery within 4 hours of driving. This may take slightly more or less time depending on variables with the environment, battery and vehicle.
Your purchase includes professional installation of the Yeti Link. The input cable to power your Goal Zero will come out of the center pillar of the van (C-pillar) on the driver’s side. This placement will work with your battery located in the nearest boot box or in your garage or wheel well box area.
We no longer offer 12v charging cables for the Goal Zero because we never found them to be a great solution for keeping the battery charged. With the Yeti Link it charges significantly faster than the 12v cable we previously offered, and you no longer need to lug your battery in and out of the van to charge it via the wall cable.
