136″ WHEELBASE, HIGH ROOF
Our best ideas don’t start in a meeting. They come straight from the Wayfarian community.
On the Wayfarer Vans Fan Facebook Group, one question kept popping up over the years: “How do you store long gear like skis, snowboards and fishing poles so they are out of the way and not getting damaged during travel?”
We love seeing the creative ideas people have shared over the years, and we decided it was time to introduce our own. After plenty of brainstorming, prototyping, and real-world testing, we’re excited to launch our Under Bed Gear Rack accessory.
The Under Bed Gear Rack is a modular metal rack that mounts to the underside of your bed platform. It’s designed to securely carry skis, snowboards, and other long gear while keeping it organized and protected, without taking up space in your living area. We built it with winter sports in mind, but it also works great for:
It turns unused space into smart storage.
The rack mounts directly to the unistrut beneath your bed platform. Installation or removal takes about a minute and just one wrench.
Once installed, you get 17 ¾” of horizontal storage space for your gear. Included are four Voile straps to secure everything in place and keep items from bouncing, sliding or knocking into each other while you’re on the move.
It’s sturdy, low-profile and easy to use.

Not everyone does, that’s why we keep our base builds simple and let you add only the accessories that match your adventures.
But if you’re a skier, snowboarder or angler, this rack makes a big difference. Sure, you can keep your gear on the floor or stacked on top of your wheel well box, but this puts it:
Our adventures can be chaotic enough, we like to keep our gear organized.
The under bed gear rack is compatible with all standard bed conversions for the RAM ProMaster and Ford Transit vehicles. Note that it is not compatible with the twin bed dinette layout.
You can have it shipped directly to you, or installed at our Colorado Springs shop.
If you’re ready to give your long gear a proper home, head over to the accessories page for the little rack that makes a big difference.
