Meet Darren & Vicki driving Vinny VanGo

We started our van journey when Darren retired at the end of 2025. We took to the road immediately and put on 9,000 miles in six months, traveling, boon-docking, stealth-camping and seeing some of America's most beautiful places! We not only can live in Vinny for months at a time, he is ideal for spontaneous weekend trips and visiting family and friends. It's incredibly convenient to have a bed, kitchen, everything we need wherever we go. We like to hike, bike and kayak and before we spent good money on a van build, we had lots of questions, big questions! We needed to see a Wayfarer van, with our own eyes, to see if it would meet all our needs. We met a Vanbassador who showed us their home on wheels and we were blown away! That's why we are so excited to now be Vanbassadors ourselves! We wanted simplicity, yet high quality and we wanted it fast! We didn't have the time, talent or tools to try to do a camper-van conversion ourselves and wanted to get out on adventures right away. A Wayfarer van checked all the boxes for us and it's been one of the best decisions we've ever made!
