Story by Morgan Trzcienski |

August 19, 2026 |

A group of sea otters floating together is called a raft. A group of Wayfarians gathered on California’s Central Coast? We call that a Wayfarer Weekend.

This November, we’re heading to the coast to see if we can find a raft or two of our own. We’ll walk to Morro Rock in search of sea otters and learn more about these cute creatures. Then we’ll head north to look for elephant seals and hear their comeback story, too.

Each Wayfarer Weekend includes group activities with plenty of free time to make the trip your own. Join us for wildlife watching, van tours, and breakfast, then use your free time to visit Hearst Castle, hit the trails, walk the Embarcadero, or simply enjoy a few days by the ocean.
