Let’s start 2026 the best way possible – by getting together with our Wayfarian community and enjoying adventures together! Not every trip has to be to a remote location, and this time we’re headed to McKinney Falls State Park, just outside downtown Austin from January 7-10.

If you’ve never been to this corner of the Lone Star State, picture limestone ledges, old-growth trees, and flowing water. But you’re also just a few miles away from the vibrant city of Austin with amazing restaurants, architecture, museums and live music.

The 2026 Wayfarer Weekend schedule kicks off January 7 and includes three days & two nights of exploration around Austin!

Highlights of this Wayfarer Weekend will include:

• McKinney Falls Camping – This campground feels tucked away, but it’s just a stone’s throw from downtown Austin. Shaded by tall trees and tucked into the woods, each site has electricity, water and a picnic table, with bathrooms and showers nearby.
• Blunn Creek Nature Preserve – We’ll take a guided walk through this urban oasis filled with history, diverse ecosystems, and quiet trails.
• Free Time – Whether you want to hike, relax at camp, or explore nearby Austin, you’ll have plenty of space to enjoy the day on your own terms.
• Pioneer Farms Tour – Step back in time with a guided experience at Pioneer Farms, where you’ll learn about local farming traditions and the cultural history of Texas.

Want to attend? We have a limited number of spots for current Wayfarians, and registration is required. Don’t wait, these spots will go like hotcakes!

We’ve booked campsites for 10 vans, and tickets are $96 per van (not per person).

If tickets sell out (like they usually do) you are welcome to book another site at McKinney Falls or nearby and you can still meet up with the crew to join the festivities.

Please note: these reserved sites are for current Wayfarer Van owners only. If you don’t own a van but still want to hang out, you’re welcome to book your own campsite at McKinney Falls and join the fun. If you purchase a ticket but aren’t a current owner, we’ll issue a refund minus Eventbrite fees.

Weekend Schedule

January 7th:

• Arrive at McKinney Falls State Park (check in by letting the rangers know you’re with the Wayfarer group, and note that no additional park entry fee is needed)
• Group campfire in the evening

January 8th:

• Breakfast provided by Wayfarer Vans
• Guided walk at Blunn Creek Nature Preserve
• Free time – venture out with Wayfarians or explore Austin on your own
• Group campfire in the evening

January 9th:

• Tour Pioneer Farms and learn about local farming traditions in Texas

January 10th:

• Check out by 11 am and head home

We might switch up the schedule as we get closer to the evnt, but we’re sure to have something for everybody!
